Carla Ingram, LCSW

Carla Ingram received her Master of Social Work from the University of Kansas in 1994 and is licensed in the State of Missouri as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Kansas as a Licensed Specialized Clinical Social Worker. Additionally, she received a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Kansas and a Bachelor of Science in Addiction Science at Park College. Carla has been on staff with Comprehensive Psychiatric Services since January 2012. Prior to her current position, she was employed as the Director of Clinical Services at Two Rivers Behavioral Health System. While at Two Rivers, she oversaw the clinical services for inpatient and outpatient mental health and substance use disorders for older adults, adults, adolescents and children. Carla also oversaw two specialized programs, the trauma and dual diagnosis centers. Carla managed and directed a women’s and children’s chemical dependency treatment center in Kansas City for nine years. She served as Associate Director for Addiction Technology Transfer Centers, a program funded by the Centers for Substance Abuse Treatment and NIDA. Carla interned at the Menninger Clinic in Topeka, Kansas and eventually accepted a full-time staff position on the adult dual diagnosis unit. She has received training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, (DBT), Bowen Family Systems, and Cognitive Behavioral Theory. Carla provides individual, couple and family therapy. Her approach to treatment is bio-psycho-social-spiritual, a holistic model of recovery. She works with adults who have a wide range of mental health and addictive disorders, including mood disorders, anxiety disorders, bereavement issues, marital/family issues, personality and mood regulation disorders. Carla believes that it is a combination of knowing where we have been to understand who we are and how we operate in order to identify what needs to change or what works well and develop the skills necessary for a fulfilling life.
