Christine A. Trueblood, MD

Christine A. Trueblood, MD, has had a varied career path, starting in nursing at Texas Christian University in 1978, only to have that career path cut short due to injuries her parents sustained in the Hyatt Hotel Collapse in 1981 that required she return home to care for her family. Ultimately she returned to the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she completed a Business Administration Degree and began working as a pharmaceutical hospital representative for Merck and Company. However, after almost 9 years in sales, she missed direct patient care and returned to the University of Kansas Medical School where she completed her medical school education and continued at the University of Kansas Medical Center as a psychiatry resident. Following residency, she began working at The Lilac Center as both their sole psychiatrist and Medical Director and it was there that she found her passion for treating Borderline Personality Disorder. Unfortunately, due to personal life circumstances, it became impossible for her to remain in an essentially solo practice and with a heavy but grateful heart for all she learned while with the Lilac Center, she resigned in July of 2020. However, she is very excited to be joining a practice she has long considered the premier psychiatry practice in Kansas City and is looking forward to working alongside clinicians she has always viewed as the best Kansas City has to offer, and feels blessed to have the opportunity to join them!
