Dr. Karim graduated from Ziauddin Medical college, Karachi Pakistan in 2002. He completed a year of internship. He worked as a medical officer in ER, also worked as a primary care for some time. He worked as an extern in the department of psychiatry at VA hospital in Washington DC, for a year 2006-2007. Then he worked on NIH research project called DAWN, drug abuse warning network from 2007 until 2008. He started residency in psychiatry at KU medical center in 2008 and graduated in 2012, decided to do fellowship in Addiction Psychiatry at KU, 2012-2013. He decided to stay in Kansas City area and started working at Tri-County Mental Health services. He started Addiction clinic for alcohol and opioid use disorder there in late 2017. He joined CPA in August 2019.
