Asim Ulusarac, MD

Dr. Asim Ulusarac graduated from the Istanbul University Medical School in Istanbul, Turkey in 1993. From 1993-1995 Dr. Ulusarac worked as a general practitioner in charge of the pediatric emergency room, which serves as the regional center for several states. He started a Family Practice Residency program at Sisli Etfal Hospital in Istanbul, Turkey from 1995-1996. Upon completion of first year of his Residency program in 1996, Dr. Ulusarac left Turkey to begin the Psychiatry Residency Program at the University of South Alabama, School of Medicine. In June of 2000 he completed the General Psychiatry Residency Program. Dr. Ulusarac was involved in clinical research during his years in medical school and while in his psychiatric residency. While employed at Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources, Dr. Ulusarac treated patients that not only suffered from a broad spectrum of psychiatric disorders and chemical dependencies, he also treated patients that suffered from mental illness due to general medical conditions and terminal illnesses. He also treated geriatric patients with different forms of dementia. Dr. Ulusarac joined Comprehensive Psychiatric Associates in November, 2004 and became a full partner with company in 2008. He has been published in several Medical Journals and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Ulusarac’s board certification is in General Psychiatry. Dr. Ulusarac treats child, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. He is currently accepting new patients regardless of the referral source.
